The Prism Optical BH200P is the polarised light microscope variant of the BH200 family. It is ideal for medium duty lab usage, and can be used in field.

Great Value Eyepiece Cameras

Eyepiece cameras 23mm dia are a great entry way into digital microscopy and are suitable for use with any microscope including student models. These cameras are placed in the eyepiece tube and connected to a PC or Mac by USB2.0 for image capture, analysis and manipulation.

Importantly, these eyepiece cameras include a 0.5x reducing lens to provide a wider field of view and better image quality. Other eyepiece cameras that do not have this reduction lens will show a more cropped image (less wide field of view). all metal construction glass lenses.

Adapters for 30mmand 30.5mm (ST30R-2LED) are ordered separately if required.

E5T

The Prism Optical E5 is an excellent value for money microscope for bright-field microscopy. Designed for regular to frequent use, the optical and mechanical quality of this instrument is very good. E5R are rechargeable so can be used in the field.

Practices that need more advanced contrast techniques or use their microscopes more frequently might benefit from better optics and larger frame of the Prism Optical EX30 model. or NEW Prism Optical EX33

Note both EX30R and EX33 are now rechargeable for use in the field. EX33 is powered from USB Power pack.

Both EX30 and EX33 can be equiped with Phase Contrast,Dark Field and Polarization.

Specialist & Hospitals

We have a range of more capable microscopes that are better suited for the more frequent use or for long periods of use. The Prism Optical EX30 model offers a wide and flat image in a larger form factor for improved operator comfort.

The Prism Optical CX40 are clinical grade microscopes designed for frequent use and are an excellent choice for veterinary pathology labs.

Field Practice & Animal Reproduction

Field practice is challenging on both the practitioner and their equipment – being frequently moved, usually in dusty environments, it’s close to what you shouldn’t do to a microscope.

Our microscopes, when maintained in a more assertive manner, are more than up to the task. We have Prism Optical E5 and EX30s in regular use in the field.

For Bright-field microscopy, the rechargeable versions of the Prism Optical E5 is a solid choice. Where phase contrast, with and without warm stages is needed, the Prism Optical EX30 and Prism Optical EX33 excel.

Phase Contrast Kits

Phase contrast objectives are available in 10×, 20×, 40× and 100× with sliding condenser inserts. The sliders offer a cost effective alternative to the dedicated phase condensers offered by other manufacturers. The kit also includes a centering telescope.

LED Two Band Fluorescence

The fluorescence illumination module offers 3W LED illumination with B, G, U, V (which can be combined) filters. The LED illuminator is permanently centred, has a long 5,000 hour life, and has no warm up or down periods.

Dark Field

Mosaic V2 Image Capture and Analysis Software

Mosaic V2 is the latest camera control and image acquisition software designed by Tucsen. Image capture, manipulation, and analysis, including measurment and annotation, is available on all current Tucsen cameras.

Mosaic uses makes use of the additional signal processing power and data transfer rates in the Michrome and Truechrome cameras to offer “revolutionary computational imaging”. These features include extended depth of field, live stitching, and even automated cell counting.

Live Extended Depth of Field

Extended Depth of Field is a clever, simple, and reliable replacement to old and cumbersome Z-stacking hardware. While the operator moves the fine focus from deepest to the shallowest points of the specimen, Mosaic finds the in-focus portions of the image and automatically joins them together into a seemless image.

Live Image Stitching

Live stitching is another method of capturing more information into a single image, and works like the panorama feature on your mobile. By slowly moving the stage controls (X and Y), Mosaic seemlessly joins the smaller image captured by the camera into a larger, more detailed image.

Automatic Counting

Auto counting has previously only been a feature of much more specialist software. It’s been tricky to use. Mosaic now offers a simple and reliable way to accurately count and measure descrete artifacts in a specimen, in as few as 8 mouse clicks.

 

Advanced Imaging Features

Fluorescent Image Compositing

Easily overlay and merge images with different fluorophores.

Deconvolution

Clean up and restore images with the built-in blind deconvolution function. The number of iterations and kernel size can be choosen.

Filters and Smoothing

Captured images can easily be binaryised, smoothed, or dyed (simulated). Additionally, filter colours can selected, added and removed.

Standard Imaging Features

Calibrated Measurement

Mosaic adds very good measurement functions to any supported camera. Lines, polygons, circles, and angles can all be measured and exported to a new image file, Excel spreadsheet, or CSV file.

By completing a calibration for each known objective magnification (or step in Stereomicroscopes), accurate measures can be taken in a number of units.

Annotation

Lines, text and arrows can also be added to an image. This allows a simple commentary of findings or areas of interest. Colours and weights can be adjusted, and labels and lines can be moved independently.

Grids and Scales

Quick dead reckoning can be achieved with an adjustable grid overlay. The number of horizontal and vertical lines can selected, and the colour and weight can be adjusted.

Also, scale bar can be added when one or more measurements has been made.

EDF, image stitch, and auto count existing imges

EDF and Image Stitching can be done on all cameras. The GT series can’t do these functions live, but Mosaic V2 will merge multiple existing images using the Advanced Computation Imaging features.

Image and export file formats

Images

Images can be saved as TIFF, PNG or JPG.

  • TIFF is a high fidelity uncompressed image format ideal for analysis and high resolution print publication.
  • PNG is a lossless compressed image format ideal for archiving, and online pubication.
  • JPG is a lossly compressed image format, idea where reference is important, but image fidelity is less important than disk size.

Data Export

All measurements can be exported in Excel and CSV formats.

CSV is a simple but near universal format for data, and might the easiest way to import data into specialist data analysis tools.

Simplified Reports

Mosaic simplifies lab notes and reports. A simple PDF document which can include the main image information, a measurement data table, as well as a class count data table.

Project name, Sample name, Author, and notes can also be added. These reports are created independently of the saved images.

ToupLite is a multi-platform application that offers basic image capture and manipulation features on Mac OS and Linux computers.

Similar to the Kestrel 2000 but adds in a pressure sensor for altitude and barometric pressure. A three-hour pressure trend indicator (an arrow on the screen showing the trend) helps you predict fish and wildlife activity and know when the weather’s going to turn nasty.

The Kestrel 3500 is the most powerful of the Kestrel 3000 series, measuring temperature, wind speeds, barometric phenomena and pressure trends for up to 3 hours or even longer if needed. The Kestrel 3500 is perfect for the user who needs important weather data, but who doesn’t require the ability to store the numbers for review at a later time. The Kestrel 3500 handheld meter was designed with the same simplicity of the Kestrel 1000 in mind, but with the ability to do much more advanced tasks included in its design.

The Kestrel 3500 NV, with night-vision preserving backlight, was launched in 2005 in response to military personnel and pilot’s requests for a handheld meter that would help them to sustain natural night vision when using it. The Kestrel 3500 NV’s backlight are much dimmer than the lights found in most electronic devices, making it difficult to see with the naked eye during nighttime operations. The backlight uses an optical filter to reduce brightness and minimize the blue and green spectrum light. By utilizing this type of backlight technology, the Kestrel 3500 NV is the best choice for preserving night vision.

UniView Wifi  System for Classrooms.

This IP system allows the instructor to look at individual microscopes in a class situation and to display on large HDMI screens, or to network by using WiFi to the whole classroom.

Full 1080P and 4K HD camera can be mounted on microscopes or with power zoom lenses mounted overhead, or on a stand, for macro work.

This is a very economical way of providing quality microscope pictures to your class room.

The system can be setup in several ways.

1. With College internet: from Instructors microscopes

When connected to the internet via cloud server images can be seen live across the web. Frame rates of 15 to 25 F/sec are achieved ( bandwidth dependent). 40+ students can view live images on their tablets etc.

Audio may also be transmitted with audio input/output on camera or NVR controller.

With on-board Hard Disc in the DVR you can save images and movies, then display or copy to memory via USB3.0 port.

This makes an ideal teachers tool that overcomes for lower resolution of data projectors or having to darken the room. Students and download images and include in their report.

You may have two or more cameras mounted on  microscopes and switch between them or display 2 or more simultaneously.

2.. With WiFi router:

This is ideal for classroom with no internet access. When equipped with Wi-Fi router all the students can see the image on Pads, Phones (Android, Apple) and save the image or movies. Range approx 20metres. For computers and Pads just log onto a unique webpage. e.g. http//192.168.x.x or Uniview Cloud webpage.

When equipped with Wifi transmitter all the class can see the image on Pads, Phones (Android, Apple) and save the images and movies.

When connected to local stand alone WiFi Range approx 20 meters. Then students with computers and Pads just log onto a unique webpage to view live images.This makes an ideal teachers tool that overcomes for lower resolution of data projectors or having to darken the room, students can add images to reports.

3.Set up cameras on students microscopes and IP cable them to NVR control box:

This allows the instructor to look at any of the student microscopes, display and Wifi these if required.

The system can have 64 cameras via a central controller and each camera selected for individual display. HDMI output from control box allows user to see live images 25f/sec.

4. Cameras may be Ip direct into computers.
